The 2025 Caribbean Music Awards red carpet was pure energy, style, and celebration — and one of the standout moments came when GT Music Scene caught up with the legendary DJ AG. Known for his roots in Jamaica and London, AG has built a reputation for electrifying performances and a people-first approach to music.
“It’s amazing. My first time here…”
Stepping onto the red carpet, AG shared his excitement about being part of this year’s event.
“It’s amazing. My first time here, and hopefully it won’t be my last.”

For AG, the night wasn’t just about music — it was about connection, culture, and celebrating the artists who keep pushing Caribbean music forward.
The Secret Sauce to Moving a Crowd
When asked about the energy behind his performances, AG broke it down to one key ingredient: being a people person.
“When I perform, I think about the people — what will move them, how we can get them involved in those moments. That’s my secret sauce.”
It’s this mindset that has allowed AG to control crowds, light up stages, and leave a lasting mark wherever he plays.
Excited to See the Stars
Like everyone in attendance, AG was looking forward to some heavy-hitting performances. He highlighted Serani, Konshens, Elephant Man, and of course, the highly anticipated Busta Rhymes tribute.
“I’m just excited to see everyone… Busta Rhymes getting his award, that’s gonna be amazing. And we need more of this.”
A Message for Upcoming Talent

Before heading inside, AG left a word of advice for rising artists, creators, and musicians trying to make their mark.
“You’re gonna have no views, you might get the odd post that goes viral, but regardless — stay consistent, cause you never know when that one video might blow you up.”
Consistency, passion, and persistence — the keys to breaking through.
Big Up to GT Music Scene
Closing the red carpet interview, AG sent love to the Caribbean community and GT Music Scene.
“It’s your boy AG — big up GT Music Scene, keep it locked.”
