“Send It Up” Ignites Caribbean Charts: Diamond868, Lola Doll, Lady Lava & Shawn Storm Unite on a Regional Smash
The Caribbean music scene is on fire with the release of “Send It Up,” a high-energy collab featuring Lola Doll, Lady Lava, and Gaza artist Shawn Storm, all powered by Trinidadian producer Diamond868. Since dropping on April 18th, the track has earned over 118,000+ combined views across YouTube channels, rapidly becoming one of the biggest Caribbean music releases of 2025.
At the core of this runaway success is Diamond868, a Trinidadian music producer and DJ who’s quickly becoming one of the most exciting names to watch. Diamond is known for his sharp ear and futuristic sound. He’s also the official DJ for TriniBad artist Trinidad Killa, and has been steadily building a name as a go-to collaborator for Caribbean artists looking to make waves. A Virgo with a meticulous style, Diamond doesn’t just produce beats he builds moments. And with “Send It Up,” he might’ve just delivered one of the region’s biggest tracks of the year.

Diamond868 Talks “Send It Up” Collab, and What’s Next
With the explosive release of Send It Up, Trinidadian producer Diamond868 is making waves across the Caribbean linking top names like Shawn Storm, Lola Doll, Lady Lava, and Mello on a rhythm that blends raw zest with undeniable energy. We caught up with Diamond to get the story behind the track, his process, and what’s coming next.
⸻
GT Music Scene: What was the inspiration behind “Send It Up”? What headspace were you in when you started creating it?
Diamond868:
To be honest, I was just in the studio vibing, going through some samples, and I came across the one you hear at the beginning of the track. It gave me a different kind of zest I knew instantly this could be something different. From there, I built everything around it.
⸻
GTM: How did this powerhouse collab come together with Lola Doll, Shawn Storm, and Lady Lava?
Diamond868:
I didn’t work with them in person. I sent the beat to my friend Mello in Trinidad she’s also an artist and it just so happened Shawn Storm was with her. She played the beat, and he liked it. I was in shock. Two days later she messaged again and said, “Lady Lava’s on it.” Then, “Lola Doll’s on it too.” I was like what? It was a huge surprise for me as a new producer having these icons on one rhythm. It brought me real joy.
Shoutout to Noble Touch in Trinidad — he did the actual recordings. Big respect to him.
⸻
GTM: During the production, was there any particular moment that stood out or felt pivotal?
Diamond868:
Yes the sample was originally at 140+ BPM, and I decided to slow it down to around 123–125. Once I did that, I knew it had the right vibe. That sample really carried the whole track.
Crazy thing is, I made that beat in October 2024 and just had it sitting. One of the first artists I had in mind for it was Lady Lava, but I couldn’t get through at the time. So to see it come full circle that hit different.
⸻
GTM: Any challenges putting the track together?
Diamond868:
Honestly? No challenges. Once I got the demo back, I knew it was strong. Everything came together naturally from there.
⸻
GTM: Were you expecting the response it’s been getting — especially in Guyana and Trinidad?
Diamond868:
Yeah, I’d say I expected a good reaction especially because I had never heard Shawn Storm on a zest beat before, so I was curious how people would receive it.
Funny enough, I didn’t know about Lola Doll before this. After seeing how big she is in Guyana and the love the song’s getting, I’ve been tapping more into the Guyanese Music scene. Y’all really have something special going on.
⸻
GTM: What should we look out for next from Diamond868?
Diamond868:
Lots coming. I already have beats ready. Three new tracks are on the way one each from Nelly Katoy, Mafi, and Bedeyah from Guyana. And I definitely want to work with Lola Doll, Shawn Storm, and Lady Lava again in the future.
⸻
GTM: Final question — if you had to sum up what Send It Up means to you, what would you say?
Diamond868:
Send It Up means a lot. It’s my first official production, and having these artists on it makes it even more special. It also taught me patience. I’m the kind of guy who likes to finish things the same day I start, but this track reminded me that great things take time.
