The Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 came to a thrilling end with the Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) clinching their fifth title after defeating the Guyana Amazon Warriors (GUY) in the grand finale.
TKR Dominate the Final
Guyana captain Imran Tahir won the toss and chose to field first, but the Warriors never managed to gain control of the game. Their batting faltered, with Iftikhar Ahmed top scoring with 30 runs. The Warriors eventually posted just 130/8 in their 20 overs.
For TKR, Saurabh Netravalkar starred with the ball, picking up 3/25, while Akeal Hosein was equally effective with 2/26, dismantling the GUY batting lineup.
With this win, TKR cemented their place as the most successful franchise in CPL history, lifting the trophy for a record fifth time.
